We should strive to feel the presence of God in our lives, just as the presence of God filled the Tabernacle
- A statistical summary of the materials used for the Tabernacle and an account of producing the priestly vestments are recorded. Moses blesses the Israelites for the work they did. (38:21-39:42)
- Upon God's instruction, Moses sets up the Mishkan (Tabernacle) and the priests are anointed and consecrated. (40:1-33)
- A description is given of a cloud that covers the Mishkan by day and a fire that burns by night, indicating God's Presence therein. (40:33-38)
The work of constructing the Tabernacle is completed; Moses receives th command to anoint its vessels and to anoint Aaron and the priests.

All that the Lord commanded Moses was created for the sanctuary under the direction of Ithamar, son of Aaron the priest, Bezalel of the tribe of Judah, and Oholiab of the tribe of Dan.
They made garments of distinction for those officiating in the Sanctuary and sacral vestments for Aaron, the High Priest. Aaron’s breastplate had twelve stones corresponding to the names of the sons of Israel. His robe was woven with the color of pure blue and had bells of pure gold.

On Shabbat, during the month or so around Purim and Passover, we recite four special maftir readings, called the Arba Parshiot (four Torah portions). The four Saturdays are named after their readings: Shabbat Shekalim, Shabbat Zakhor, Shabbat Parah, and Shabbat Hachodesh.
Shabbat Shekalim takes place the Shabbat prior to Rosh Chodesh Adar or on Rosh Chodesh Adar itself if it happens to fall on a Saturday. On Shabbat Shekalim we read a maftir taken from Parashat Ki Tissa (Shemot 30:11-16)
